Almost There

Where on earth have the last four weeks gone?! I have definitely caught up on my sleep, exercised on the daily and working hard not only at the Garden Barn but also at my Dad’s business, Edge DPM. By helping them with their social media and marketing side of the company, it has enabled me to gain more experience for what I hope to do in the future.
Had a lovely weekend away in Liverpool with Anna to watch our fantastic Roses at the Netball World Cup. The atmosphere was electric. The Zimbabwe fans demonstrated the true meaning of support and dedication to the sport. A humbling experience for me, (and something that I’m definitely not used to,) was when I met Josh Worrall – it’s fair to say that he was really anxious and it was a really brave thing for him to be there by himself for the entire competition. However, I was taken aback when he asked me for my autograph and a selfie! He said he admired my blog and that I have made a difference in the way he deals with his anxiety. I was really happy because I had just witnessed my blog actually making a difference to someone. Thanks Josh for the acknowledgement on your Instagram and helping me promote my page.
The first night out, Anna and I bumped into Tamsin Greenway, Pamela Cookey and Mikki Austin – Tamsin even remembered me from the Wasps days, which I was pleasantly surprised by! The whole trip to me made me remember why I still want to continue with my netball. The speed, the commitment and the dedication of every single player made me yearn to be wearing that Roses dress in the future.
Although missing NPL this year was tough, never say never.
So, as I await results day….

A – abdominals; who knew I could actually gain them #beachbodycomplete

M – memories – creating some great ones this summer
O – out out – had a few of those recently… Eleanor… Do you remember anything from those nights?
S – squats – 80 per day and counting, determined to keep my fitness up
T – time – time can only tell where my future lies

T – trips – Liverpool complete; Mallorca in two days and Reading Festival pending… Can’t wait for that!
H – heroes – no, not the chocolates, but ‘Roses’ definitely 😜
E – everything happens for a reason
R – relaxed – definitely more so after finishing the exams
